To promote and strengthen family in Canada, Family Service Canada encourages learning about "family living": child development, parenting, partner relationships, blended families, health, wellness, safety, environment; and also encourages bringing families together to share their accomplishments.

Family Service Canada provides a certification program for Family Life Educators, sponsors major learning events and distributes information on Family Education topics to members of this growing field.
