Through its network of member agencies and its national perspective, Family Service Canada is aware of social conditions that affect families' abilities to function effectively and to support their members. Family Service Canada is specifically concerned about disadvantaged groups, vulnerable persons and families who are unable to speak out on their own behalf.
By working in partnership with Coalitions and other organizations, Family Service Canada advocates for policies and legislation which enhance family well-being in Canada.
Family Service Canada advocates:
- to eliminate poverty in Canada;
- to prevent violence and abuse;
- for equal access to health, education, safe environment, adequate income and employment;
- for balanced work and family life;
- for healthy happy relationships; and
- to prevent discrimination and abuse of human rights.
